SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 - AT SEA

 DAY 8
Today begins our second week of travel. We are up a little early after having turned the clocks back again. We have breakfast in the King’s Room and Carolyn has eggs benedict, her favorite. Dick tries to go to two programs one on camera settings and one on computers, but both times. the room is so crowded even arriving early there is no place to sit so he passes on both. He does go to trivia.

Carolyn visits with the lady in the fine jewelry shop. The shop has a stunning collection of Tahitian pearl pieces for sale. Since Carolyn wants to buy a pearl necklace for the pearl pendant she had made in Thailand last year, she visit for a while. The pieces are really lovely, but very expensive. She does get a feel for what to look for on the islands though.

We meet at noon for lunch and have seafood appetizer, cold apple soup and a salad for lunch and then we both head for the cooking demonstration...chocolate volcano cake. It is a fun hour with Kat and one of the ship’s comedians, Benny.

At 3 we open the suite for the Cruise critic Cabin Crawl. Carolyn goes to meet the group and tour the other cabins, our is last. She had asked our concierge if we could have some cookies and juice for the cabin on Thurs and was told it would be fine. Well at about 3 the room service staff shows up with three trolleys of tea makings, platters of shrimp tempura, smoked salmon, tuna mouse, finger sandwiches and cookies! What a spread! The CC group and us really enjoyed our cabin crawl!

We spend the rest of the afternoon reading on the balcony and go to the Pinnacle grill for a great dinner. Our cabin stewards are beginning to have fun with jack our traveling companion...he is riding the towel swan when we get back to the room.
